cold day before it starts to get warm

Hello everyone, it's another cold day, but I just hope it's getting warmer soon to stay. It's only high 56 today. We had wonderful day yesterday it was 74 . Fog in the morning, then burned off. Then just cold today. The wild life was out today. They are not great pictures but keep in mind "Herman heron" was far away and the pictures are with my phone. The squirrels come up to you very close. Sorry I was trying to get the pictures before i spooked them . So I forgot to turn my phone sideways. I hope y'all still enjoy them. I hope y'all have a great day too.

GS Thinking Day Feb.22 ,2026 Part 2

Here is the other pictures of the counties and the girls. I had a great time learning about the countries from the girls. I have already posted the crafts and other items I got . It brought back lots of memories and of course I made new memories. I hope you like the pictures.

GS Thinking Day 100 years 2026

Girl Scouts Thinking Day has been going on for 100 years today Feb. 22,1926 - 2026. I have been to lots of thinking day events. (19 or 20). There was 5 countries plus USA. Russia, Mexico, Colombia, St. Lucia, Japan and the World association of girl guides and girl scouts. I got to taste lots of different foods. I also got a craft and a charm ( for the bracket that was in the packet) . It was great to see lots of young ladies that I watched grow up. I got a group picture ( yes with me too) of all my friends from the past. It was an amazing event. Looking back on yesterday's event I truly miss doing the girl scout events. As we all were talking remembering memories of camping and stuff. Something awesome came up. 2 of the younger girl (now late 20's) Hannah and Bridget were saying they enjoyed making the hobo stoves when I took them camping and the food turned out great. Then they went to troop camping and had to make and use it....flames went every were. So needless to say theirs did work like mine did years earlier. LOL. They also gave me a great compliment that was the the best camper. If they or anyone need to know anything about camping they needed to see me. Thank you Bridget and Hannah. I really had a great time with all my new and old friends. I just really miss this kinda stuff. The pictures below are just the ones I took this morning of all my goodies from the event. I'll post the other pictures later because they are on my camera. I hope y'all enjoy them.

Just another nice day

This is 2 days combined. 18th and 20th Feb. Not much as to campers coming in we did have about 5 come in but mostly they are just using this park as a stop over to go back home. So just a couple of days. Here are some more pics of the squirrels at my site. And the water today. The squirrels are just too funny. They think I have food for them so they come up very close then I tell them no food they run away. Lol.

They stay on the tree with one leg under themselves.

Charlotte, NC

I has a great day in Charlotte today( Wed 18th Feb) I went to see friends and do the grave. That part of the trip is always hard for me to do, but seeing friends I consider family is always awesome! My husband worked with both of the guys. Now one is gone so they are laughing and have a great time together. First stop was to Annette has a great visit. Just wish it was longer. So then I went to the graves to put flowers there. My dad , my mom ( my parents are on the military side),my grandparents and my husband. They are on the other side of the road. Then off to see a classmate . We met at the Sports Bar in the Coulwood area. Nice little place. We had lunch and had a great talk about everyone. She was a year behind me in school. I haven't seen her since then. (1983). She gave me a very cute multi color skull ( belated Christmas/birthday). I love it. Then off to another park to see if there was a site I could stay at before I ho to have the roof done. I was talking to a ranger there and found a great pull thru site. Then they told me to put in an application to be their camphost. Then I went to see Frank and Delores and spent some time with them . It was a really good visit just too short. Hopefully next time we can spend more time together. Then the long trip home well back my home on wheels.
