We headed to to South Dakota on April 1 ,2016 of course we had to go thru Iowa, Wyoming , Montana We the trip started out good, Then the wind of 45plus then to 55 Plus gusts and that was def not fun the refrigerator vent went. When the wind hit it you could hear all the things rattling in the roof and when the wind died down it sounded like a door being slammed when there was nothing in the room (very loud noise) . Then we stopped for the night and i guess a day or so later the winds came back like 65 plus and took my awning over the top of the RV I kinda saw the arms moving then all of a sudden it went over the top of the RV NOT FUN!!!!!!! WE WERE NOT IN KANSAS ANY MORE !!!! LOL Well Walter and I got it back down and Now I def look like a red neck going down the road. But we got to South Dakota . We got our drivers licenses as well as our tags.So we are now SD residents. We hit a few more places that had bad weather we had to stop on the side of the road cause the wind and snow was getting bad for me to drive (maybe I was to cautious to drive in it.I dont know) so thats why we stopped . Snow continued overnight till about 3pm the next day when the winds stopped we moved a little bit farther down the road to a Flying J and stayed there the night. We were okay for a few more days we got to a campground Called The Spot. Not bad needs work but it was nice to get things done.I went out in the town and found Laura Ingles Wilder home stead and township very interesting . Then we boon docked at a couple places before we got to Three Flags RV Park very nice only a few sites open because of the time of year (possible freeze) so the Laundry wasn't open neither was the restrooms . So we had to find a laundry mat in town to do our clothes. More money not fun we all like places that have things open and working and included in the price.
